Effects of high temperature and low temperature on embryo development
(1) High temperature affects the rapid development of embryos under high temperature, shortening the incubation period and increasing the mortality of embryos.The quality of the chicks declined.The mortality rate varies with the increase of temperature and the duration of time.The incubation temperature exceeds 42℃, and the embryo dies in 2~3 hours.When the incubation temperature reached 47℃ for 5 days, all the eggs died within 2 hours.The incubation rate decreased slightly after 24 hours of incubation at 40.6℃(104F) for 16 days.After 9 hours at 43.3℃(110F), the incubation rate decreased seriously.All embryos died after 3 hours at 46.1℃ or 1 hour at 48.9℃(120F).
(2) Low temperature affects embryo development retardation, prolonged incubation period and increased mortality under low temperature.When the incubation temperature was 35.6℃(96F), most of the embryos died in the shell.A small deviation from the upper and lower limit of the optimum temperature has less inhibitory effect on the development of the embryo after 10 days of incubation, when the temperature of the embryo plays an appropriate regulatory role.
Variable temperature incubation and constant temperature incubation System At present, there are two opinions about chicken hatching: one advocates variable temperature incubation, and the other adopts constant temperature incubation.These two kinds of incubation to the temperature system, can obtain the high incubation rate.
(1) Variable temperature incubation method (phase cooling method) variable temperature incubation method advocates giving different incubation temperatures according to different incubators, different environmental temperatures (mainly incubation chamber temperature) and different embryo ages of chickens.The reasons are as follows:

(2) The incubation temperature of the chicken during the 21-day incubation period was divided into :1~19 days and 37.8℃;19~21 days, 37~37.5℃(or incubation temperature as recommended by incubator manufacturer).In general, constant temperature incubation ratio is used in both stages, and the incubation room temperature must be kept at 22~26℃.If the temperature is lower than this, heating should be provided by waste gas, hot air or stoves;If the room temperature is increased unconditionally, the incubation temperature should be increased by 0.5~0.7℃.If the temperature is higher than this, the temperature should be lowered by windowing or mechanical exhaust (or even manually feeding the cold air). If the cooling effect is not ideal, the incubation temperature should be appropriately lowered (0.2~0.6℃).
